Your weekly quick witted two minutes of fun for the last time in a little while. I'm going on Vaca on the Hills of the Wa-Wa for some Pow-pow. BUT FOR NOW, I got G-Love and the Juice on the Juke Box and a Brett Hull poster on the wall, here it comes:
My Two Minute Wish List, plus a few old school names, and a brief summary of What's Happenin':
*Will Bogan to sign with Memphis
*The Cardinals to get Mulder.
*The Blues to beat the skates and gloves and sticks off Nashville on Saturday. My mother says it's not nice to hate, but I HATE Nashville.
*Trung Canidate to come back and back up Jackson and The Marshall next season.
*The Rams to hold a single opponent rusher to under a 100 yards before 2010.
*Adam Wainwright had a kid one week before the Cardinals named him closer and he became absolutely unhittable. Therefore, I want to have a kid. (I'm joking, mom. I just really want to be Adam Wainwright).
*Milt Thompson, Trung Canidate, Jack Youngblood, Wally Moon, Alexander Khavanov, Chris Pronger, Kurt Warner, Fred Miller, Bud Smith, Jose Jimenez, Bob Forsch, SIMO' tachi, Mike Martz, John Tudor, Ken Hill, Darren Oliver, Daniel Brummer, The Old Joe, The Old Busch, The Old Sportsman, John Gall,
Hey Buddy....
*The Blues are hot (forget about their 4-1 spanking by Chicago on Tuesday night). Get on their bandwagon now.
*The Rams are down and out. We all expected it, now it's here. Cheer for the Chargers, because LT is the most fun player to watch EVER. Ask Jay, he'll tell ya.
*The Tigers beat Mississippi State, which means they beat Ben Hansborogough (oh........ our New Year's Resolution was to spell that right, write?)
*And the Football Tigers...well, remember in high school when you had that chant that went: "nuts and bolts..............." You get the idea.
The World Series Trophy came to Columbia on Wednesday. I touched it. You're jealous.
Love,
Dave

Dave, did you really touch the World Series trophy? Were Ron Gant and Brian Jordan there?
And what a disappointing game Mizzou played the other day. The two-point conversion was enough to make you sick, but the Tigers should have never let them back into the game in the first place.
Let's get Quin Snyder back.
The Tigers football team is a dissappointment.
Yes, I was lucky enough to touch to the World Series trophy. I'll try to post a picture of it on this web page over the next week to give you a guys a look at it. It was pretty cool, although much smaller than I thought.
BJ and Big Arms Gant were not there physically, but as soon as you walked in the door you could certainly feel their spiritual presence.
And Yes, The Tigers never should have let them back in that game. Remember my post months ago entitled: "Fire Gary Pinkel Dot Come."
Well...
On definatley on the Blues bandwagon. We look like a whole new team now. Not to mention Legace has been a stud in the net.
The Blues should win the cup with relative ease. What is relative ease anyway? What exactly does that mean.
Who the heck is Fred Miller?
I woke up early this Monday morning, sprang out of my bed to get on SEMOsportsweb.com, and was utterly disappointed to not have my 2 Minutes of Fun waiting for me.
My wish list:
The Haley twins, Roman Turek-Brent Johnson 1-2 punch, Chucky Carr, Todd Kinchen, Kiwan Garris' free throw pct., Albert White, Les Lancaster, Darren Kimble, Devin West, Phil Plantier, Travon Bryant, Russ Springer, Craig Janney, Ricky Clemons, Scott Seabol, Kelly Thames, D'Marco Farr, Pat Borders, Joe Vitt, Jamie Duncan, Sidney Ponson, Scarborough Green, Wesley Stokes, Darius Outlaw, Mizzou's last barefoot punter Vince Sebo, NHL's last helmetless player Craig MacTavish, Ram's last good kick returner Tony Horne, Cards' best ever hitting pitcher Allen Watson, Mizzou's last dominant center Monte Hardge, Stubby Clapp, and last but certainly not least Bobby Bassen.
Sorry about the lack of "Two Minutes" lately. I'm on vacation for still the next couple days, then i'll be back with a better than ever two minutes of fun, promise.
Also,
that was some straight name-dropping right there.
Dave, is it true they used to call you Heavy D? And hurry up with my Two (or Four or Five) Minutes!!
Still don't know who Fred Miller is!
Fred Miller was my engineering professor last year. What a character he was.
Among engineering professors, Fred Miller was the right tackle for the St. Louis Rams who became well known in Ram Country for false starting about six times a game (much like Alex Barron). Most notably was a Rams playoff game in 1999 (his last year with the Rams) where he jumped five times in the fourth quarter. Miller now plays right tackle for DA BEARS.
When Fred Miller got all those false starts in one game was a regular season game in '99 against the Titans, not the playoffs.
