It's been a while. The Phillies have won the series. Mizzou proved, once again, that they don't know how to prepare to play against a legitimate national title contendor. The NBA started. The NHL started. And the Rams won a game. All of this since the last time I've seen a computer. Scanning the last month's worth of stories from the St. Louis sport's web pages has been like sitting down to a tree full of wiffleballs on Christmas morning. Surprising, but pleasant.
*Who would've thought firing a football coach could cause such a drastic change in performance? Count me on the side that did. Bottom line is that Scott Linehan just couldn't get the job done. I wouldn't expect to see him on the sidelines as a head coach again...at any level.
*I was starting to give in to all of you Pinkel lovers. I was really starting to come around. He was proving to me that he could head up a load of talent on the turf and field a title contendor. And then Mizzou had two huge games in a row, and came out flatter than Kansas. Most people blame that on the coach.
*Philadelphia? Tampa? Who really cared?
*Carp is coming back and the Birds are going to sign Manny. Write it down.
I'm outty.

How come when nd is gettin that ass whooped you are silent as ever all of a sudden?
I'll speak for David on this one, as I know he won't be able to. David is as busy as ever working in the mountains of Southwest Colorado. Unlike last year, when he worked much more often at a desk for the Durango Herald newspaper, David now spends at least 12 hours of every day outdoors. He is in the middle of the Rocky Mountains with no computer or internet available to him within an hour, therefore making it nearly impossible to keep up with any kind of news, much less sports in Southeast Missouri. He probably won't read your comment anytime soon, so I'll be sure to pass it along to him. Believe it or not, his lack of writing has nothing to do with Sikeston beating Notre Dame twice. In fact, I can assure you that, if he had seen Sikeston against ND, he would be the first to give props to the red Bulldogs. On behalf of my brother and everyone here at SemoSportsWeb, thanks for reading.
He hasn't written a blog since Oct 31st (well before Basketball season started) and some idiot gets on and says since ND gets beat he is "silent as ever all of a sudden". I guess Dave should be flattered that people are still reading his two month old blogs. Deep in the mountains of Colorado he is still stirring passion among the ignorant. Good job!!
Thanks Mark for the explanation. I was wondering what happened to David. The first anonymous poster must feel like a real jerk after that comment. I don't understand why some people have to tie everything to ND and Sikeston. After all, there IS life outside of that high school basketball rivalry.
Oh,, ok my bad mark
